MindOverFour This is stupendous and stupefying progressive instrumental rock. With post-rock and djent aspects, and solos and tempo changes that would make John Mclaughlin proud, they set the bar for instrumental music, period. Not far removed from Dysrhythmia...and even better in my opinion. Favorite track: Math of Vortex.
Carsten Pieper

Carsten Pieper After falling in love with their debut, I had to get their other albums, too, and I haven't been disappointed :-)
Instrumental post-crimso-something with lots of balls. Favorite track: Blacksnout Seasnail.
Deidre House
Deidre House thumbnail
Deidre House Instrumental prog rock here that draws influence from post-metal and the more computational varieties of rock. Frantic complexity and heaviness in equal measure. I will have to specifically disagree with the commenter who said this would be better with vocals- it ain't broke and it don't need fixing! Favorite track: Math of Vortex.
